Reservations, takeout, catering and house rules.
Walk-ins are always welcome at the counter and at the bar. For the dining room on Friday and Saturday nights we strongly recommend booking — parties of up to eight can request a table on our contact page and we confirm within a day.
Most orders leave the pass in about 15 minutes. Whole fish and Peking duck take longer — around 35 minutes — and the counter will give you an honest time when you order. Call ahead and your bag will be waiting.
Yes. Tell us when you order — in person, by phone or in the booking notes. Our kitchen works with shellfish, peanuts, sesame, soy, gluten and eggs daily, so we will walk you through what can be adapted and what cannot, honestly.
Family-style pans for pickup, drop-off with setup, or full staffed service with wok stations. Catering starts at 10 guests. Send an event date and headcount through the catering form and our events team replies within two business days.
Never. Gift cards are emailed within minutes of purchase and work across both kitchens, the bar and the pantry shop.
Laguna Beach runs valet Thursday through Sunday evenings, with street parking on Pacific Coast Hwy. San Francisco is two blocks from the Montgomery station with a garage on the corner of Belden Place.

Reservation Policy
Tables are held for 15 minutes past the booking time before being released to the waitlist. Parties of nine or more need a set menu and a card to hold — we will call you to arrange it. Cancellations are free up to 4 hours before seating; later than that, a $25 per-person fee applies because the fish is already ordered.
No-shows are charged the same way. If you are running late, call us — we would much rather shuffle the room than lose you.
Clean pass, clean room
Health & Safety
Both kitchens hold the top county health rating and publish their latest inspection on request. Woks are seasoned daily, oils are filtered every service, and the dining rooms are deep-cleaned nightly. Staff handling food are certified, and anyone feeling unwell stays home with pay — no exceptions.
Takeout bags are sealed at the pass with the time stamped on top. If anything arrives less than perfect, tell us within 24 hours and we will remake it or refund it.
